No One Like You in the Universe.

I once again got to go see MUSE in concert in Las Vegas. They played at Mandalay Bay Events Center and it was a fantastic time! It's been two days since the concert and I'm the square that can't bring myself to take off my GA wristband. I will wear it like a piece of jewelry. The nice thing is that it's a color I rather like and it has M's all over it so I can say it stands for Mary, MUSE or I suppose what it's supposed to be which is Mandalay.

Here are our tickets, which we were not able to have in our hands until 5:30pm the day of the show.

A long time ago I purchased glow in the dark hair gel for Ragnar but it didn't come in time for the one I wanted it for and I never used it for any others. This stuff was starting to become years old and I decided that if you can't use glow in the dark hair gel at Vegas then where in the world could you use it? So I bit the bullet and attempted it. It worked for the first 30 mins of having it on. After that it was just SUPER stiff and wet looking hair. FAIL!

The show begins....

I'm still learning this camera thing okay so some shots are eh.

This one here is where I learned that maybe I should look at the shot first and make sure they are facing you.

I love their shows!

Matt is playing on Chris' side of the stage!

I read someone once say that Matt has the voice of a space angel, so here is the cosmos to prove it.

The big fire filled finale!! Somewhere in all that light is MUSE.

Now before all this started though I thought I had taken a picture of all our wristbands. Apparently I didn't push the shutter button all the way down. I'm still learning plus I was still sick. I blame those reasons. So insert a picture of 3 hands wearing our sweet wristbands because it was these two ladies who made the night that much better. They helped me with my hair, they allowed me to be that person who takes pictures, they didn't laugh when I timed Knights of Cydonia wrong and started early but most of all they stayed right there next to me the whole concert. I'm sure I was annoying but anytime I looked they were standing right there.

And this part is mostly for me but I want to be able to easily recall the set list so I'm posting it here, for me. *source www.musewiki.org*

My sister has it so together...

Here is the clutter that is my life...

My trunk

Hundreds, if not thousands, of items. Most is not mine. But they are in my possession so therefor it is my clutter.

Here is her organization....

Her freezer
Nice and tidy. Prim and proper. Q's and P's minded. I'm jealous, aren't you?

Dual moves

My sister finally made her way back to Utah. I was lucky enough to be the first to see both her and Iggy, which I "graciously" rubbed in Crystals face. It is going to be so strange, just as it was strange when she moved away, to have her back so close. Plus I really have no good reason for going to Vegas anymore. I am totally going to be stuck here!

I was not going to miss cheering on the Ogden marathoners, since I missed the Salt Lake peeps, but I still wanted to get my exercise in as well. Two birds, meet one stone. I participated in the 5k! And I didn't really like the idea of going by myself so I roped/guilted/bribed Crystal to do it with me. She is such a super sport. She did awesome and now she knows without a doubt that she can complete one in under an hour. After we did the 5k we cheered on both half and full marathoners.

I absolutely adore the Ogden marathon. It is by far the most scenic in my opinion. Of course you have to look past the porta-johns they provide, which come in handy.

If I had to choose only one marathon to ever compete in it would be Ogden. I am going to see if I can talk 4 of my family members into participating in the relay next year. Everyone knows they would have so much fun!

In all you really only run about 1 mile through city, and even then the picture above shows it still not bad. Which helps makes it a very serene run. I loved loved loved running next to the river coming down through Ogden Canyon. And since it is spring you get to hear it rush and gush. Melting snow and all. 2010 is totally in my sights.

I'll have to settle for second best

My sister, Crystal, and I went to Bountiful Summerfest. Its a gathering of cultures, outside our own, and they bring vendors of all sorts and dancers to perform. We were walking around the shops and we found a photography booth. I spied a picture of a beach sunset, and it was cheap(at an event like this, usually the prices are marked up) but I didn't have cash. I figured, I'll head over to my work(its right next door) and have them ring my credit card through in exchange for cash. But then Crystal spots it and bargains the guy down on the picture and I believe two frames. It hangs in her bathroom with all its gloriuosness. I think next time I am left to watch her child while she is livin it up in D.C., I will steal it. Or I'll settle for this picture that I took after the aforementioned story. Its no beach sunset but it reminds me of home.
